Choice and Flexibility
Despite painstakingly choosing the solutions for their new school the head and respective teachers will still expect to be able to pick and choose from the solutions so as to keep abreast of the ever evolving school environment.
To cater for this need to choose, Safe School's system design is modular, thus allowing senior management to adapt the system in accordance with the school's evolution. In particular, Impartial View is such a flexible tool that it can simultaneously be used as a security device as well as a behaviour management device.
Leadership
Distributed leadership is one of the core ideas in educational leadership strategy today.
The National College for School leadership (NCSL) states that distributed leadership is crucial due to three key needs that are prevalent within all schools:
- Multi-leadership teams (a by product of distributed leadership) are the most effective method of leading a school.
- As schools become increasingly complex places to manage there is an increased need for more leaders.
- Schools are able to nurture and promote talent from within, diminishing their need to recruit expensive and hard to find talent from outside.
ImpartialView® in conjunction with the dibba® allows schools' senior management to distribute leadership of areas of the school to individual members of staff. For instance, a single teacher can be put in control of all corridor and stairwell behaviour. By using Impartial View and the dibba, this teacher will be able to efficiently archive and review any corridor behaviour without the need for any technical knowledge.
Extended Learning and Community
As time progresses BSF and Academy schools are playing an increasingly crucial role as a community resource through the extended learning strategy.
Safe School's suite of products gives school leaders, Local Authorities and Facilities Management companies the ability to know exactly what happened and when it happened during or after school hours. This ability to capture and archive all activity in and around the school premises will greatly benefit adherence to health and safety procedures as well as supporting and possibly reducing the premiums of incumbent insurance policies.
Specifier and FM centric
When BSF consortiums, specifically ICT integrators, are choosing their supply chain for new tenders it is crucial to have a suite of products that are suited to contractor installation and maintenance.
